MAPROOM / FOUNDING EDITION
THE WORLD BEHIND THE HEADLINES

Don't just follow
geopolitics.
Investigate it.

The independent research companion to STRABO. Twelve evidence-led investigations and interactive map tools — plus a Field Manual that turns each topic into a source-linked brief you can export and keep.

ONE-TIME DIGITAL EDITION · NO SUBSCRIPTION · OFFLINE ACCESS

FIELD ATLAS / VOL. 01 / 2026
The world is more than a headline.
WHAT YOU TAKE HOME

Finish with an argument.
Not just a page you read.

01 / START WITH A FACT

Check a real measurement

For example, EIA estimated 21.6 million barrels per day through Hormuz in Q4 2025, versus 4.9 in Q2 2026. You learn what was measured and why those estimates may be revised.

02 / CHALLENGE YOUR IDEA

Find the counterargument

Each Field Manual gives you the case mechanism, an alternative explanation, a replication checklist and three observations worth checking — no magical forecasting score.

03 / PRODUCE SOMETHING

Export a source-linked brief

Write your claim, evidence, counterargument and what would change your mind. Export a reusable Markdown briefing with the original URLs and observation periods already attached.

BUILT FOR CURIOUS MINDS

Information is everywhere.
Understanding takes a method.

01 / GO DEEPER

Follow the evidence

Read six editorial research sections per topic. Each dossier highlights a central dated metric with its unit, source and observation period. Open original reports from EIA, IEA, UNCTAD, NATO and others.

02 / TEST A THESIS

Change the assumptions

Experiment with exactly 100 fictional units, substitution and buffers. See each step of the arithmetic, without pretending an arbitrary score predicts the future.

03 / MAKE IT YOURS

Build your own briefs

Build a one-page research brief with your claim, evidence, counterargument, uncertainty and source links. Export it as a portable Markdown file.

Frequently asked questions

Why pay for this instead of asking an AI assistant?

You can get a summary for free. MAPROOM is valuable if you want to interrogate that summary: examine a dated primary measurement, inspect counterarguments, walk through a dependency chain, model explicitly hypothetical substitution and export a source-linked brief you wrote yourself. Try two full cases for free before deciding.

Is this a live geopolitical news subscription?

No. This is the October 25, 2026 snapshot, with source observations from earlier reporting periods. It does not track ongoing events automatically or promise live updates.

Will I need an account or internet access?

The paid digital files open locally in a modern web browser; some browser privacy settings may affect local note storage. External source links require internet access. Notes are saved only in that browser unless you export them.

Can I share the paid file with friends?

This digital edition is sold for individual personal use. It is not licensed for redistribution or resale. An institution or classroom should contact the seller for appropriate licensing.

Are the scenario scores predictions?

No. No. The lab uses 100 imaginary units of activity. It subtracts hypothetical substitution and buffering using disclosed arithmetic. It is not fitted to real evidence and cannot predict losses, prices or conflict.

What are the refund terms?

A refund policy and seller contact will be published before checkout is activated. No payment can be taken on this current preview site.
